“When these thugs kill the officers, it is the families of these officers that suffer the most because these officers are daughters, sons, and breadwinners in their families,” Mwanzo indicated.

Mwanzo also called on Kenyans to work with the police to end the crime menace across the country by flashing out the thugs and supporting the police in bringing them to book.

A police report filed on Sunday, December 4, indicated that the three brothers were returning home from a family meeting in Nakuru City Centre when they were attacked by the thugs.

According to the police, the attached were armed with crude weapons including machetes and rungus

The three brothers were left with multiple bodily injuries while staging a fight with the suspects who had stolen their phones.

They were all rushed to the Nakuru Provincial General Hospital (PGH) by police officers on patrol.

However, Onywonki succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment at the hospital.

According to the police report, National Police Service officers and DCI visited the scene under the command of SCPC Nakuru West and Sccio Nakuru West.

“The other two brothers were treated and discharged in fair condition,” the report reads.
