Others were Yasser Bajaber, Jonas Kuko, Abdikadir Aden, and Rebecca Lowoiya.

President William Ruto led the UDA MPs to vote secretly after noting that he would not coerce the party into picking the nominees.

“It’s up to you to select those who will be MPs of the East African Legislative Assembly,” the president assured.

The list of UDA nominees will be scrutinised in Parliament, where MPs will vote to either confirm or reject the nominees.

Other major parties that fronted nominees included Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), Wiper and Jubilee.

On Wednesday, November 9, ODM fronted Winnie Odinga and six others, Suleiman Shahbal (Mombasa), Mohammed Diriye (Wajir), Timothy Bosire (Nyamira), Beatrice Askul (Turkana) and Justus Kizito (Kakamega).

Meanwhile, at the PG, Ruto also asked UDA MPs to focus on delivering for the people of Kenya and desist from any side shows and distractors.

The President noted that he was not interested in changing the Constitution to extend his term limit by 1 more years.

“Do not push for selfish and self-serving legislation, like changing the Constitution to remove term limits.

“My focus is service to the people of Kenya, as such, anything beyond that is a waste of time and resources,” Ruto warned.
