In a statement seen by kenyagist.com, the president promoted Major General Mohammed Badi to the rank of Lieutenant General. Badi also remains Director General Nairobi Metropolitan Service.
In addition, the Commander in Chief of the armed forces promoted Maj Francis O Ogolla to the rank of lieutenant General and appointed him the Vice Chief of the Defence Forces (VCDF).
Ogolla will replace Lt Gen Franklin L Mghalu whose term of service has come to an end after 40 years of service. Previously, Ogolla was the he Commander Kenya Air Force.
