A highly placed source who attended the party that took place at a restaurant in Lavington has confided in kenyagist.com that the event was attended by some of the big names in the country’s political circles.
He further noted that the event kicked off at around 2 p.m. on Friday, July 2 and ran all through to 8 p.m. the same day.
Dubbed Shebesh Fabulous at 50, the party was graced by Kirinyaga Governor Anne Waiguru, Nairobi acting Governor Anne Kananu and Devolution Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa.
Other dignitaries included Murang’a Woman Representative Sabina Chege, Foreign Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo, Nairobi Water and Sewerage Director Karen Nyamu among others.
The event was white and Gold-themed with most of the guests dressed in white or black attires including the woman of the moment.
Clips seen by kenyagist.com showed that guests, including Waiguru and Nyamu, get down to hit bongo songs including Sukari by artist Zuchu.
The event later culminated into the cutting of a cake splendidly designed in black icing corresponding with Shebesh’s attire for the afternoon.
An earlier message before the party, the CAS thanked God for keeping her in good health.
“God, thank you for giving me the unique opportunity to be able to wish myself a happy birthday today in good health and happiness. I pray that You will continue to bestow blessings of health and joy on my life,” she stated.
In March, Shebesh, who served as the first Nairobi Woman Representative, opened up about battling bipolar disorder, a mental condition that causes extreme mood swings.
She disclosed that she fought the disease by accepting that she had it and then seeking professional help. She added that the disease almost took her life after she went through a year of depression.
“It almost took my life. I went into depression for a year plus where I could not move, communicate or do much,†Shebesh noted.
