Celebrated musician Bien Aime Barasa of the all-boys’ band Sauti Sol, tied the knot with his girlfriend and Vybez Radio presenter Chiki Kuruka in a private ceremony held on Thursday, March 6.
The couple solemnised their marriage at the office of the Attorney General, Nairobi, at around 11:30 am in an invites the only ceremony.
A report by People Daily, on Friday, March 7, detailed that the two managed to keep their event secret after misleading the press that the ceremony would happen on Saturday, March 7.

They also managed to protect their privacy by asking guests to leave their phones at the reception, hence no leakage of photos.
The guests were also informed of the event at the last minute, as the earlier invite detailed that they would be joining then lovebirds for a lunch date, with the location of the event kept in wraps too.
Chiki and Bien, famous for the hit song Suzanna (Senje), were to wed in August 2019. However, the two postponed their marriage as Chiki’s parents were reportedly held up during that period.
The duo has numerously created an online frenzy with their dance videos and romantic messages.
“I was mind blown. I had never met a better combination of beauty and brains. She has a heart of gold. My ride or die, my shoulder to cry. Thank you for loving my imperfect self perfectly. I love you,” Bien stated via Instagram on February 28, 2019, recalling how the two met around Museum Hill, Nairobi.
Bien joins a list with notable individuals such as billionaire Manu Chandaria, who wedded at the Attorney General’s office in July 2019.
He also joins a list of music celebrities who have wedded, including his close friend Nyamari Ongengu, Nyashinski, who wedded in November 2019.
