Raila, in an interview with Citizen TV, stated that Ruto’s source for his numerous contributions should be investigated.
“Which individual can have that much money? You are bringing crowds of people each and every day slaughtering chicken and paying for their transport and giving them petty cash, what is the source of such cash?” he questioned.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, December 29, the DP opined that the handshake deal and the BBI as all about edging him out.
He further stated that Raila only gave a pass to those who supported him and the moment he stepped away he was a suspect.
“Baba, so you are saying this whole handshake/BBIÂ was petty personality schemes. Supporting others I was good/clean boy; “mweupeee kama pamba” Now the same Ruto should be investigated.
He further added, “Space and time for such deceit and conmanship is over; we are wiser. Be leaders. Be truthful. Wacha utapeli.”
A number of Ruto allied MPs took to social media to oppose Raila’s sentimentsÂ
Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro stated, “Nonsense! Kenya doesn’t belong to a few monarchies. Kenya belongs to all of us. The haves and have nots. The high and the lowly. Dynasties and sons of nobodies.”
Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also chimed in conveying, “Our suspicions have been emphatically confirmed. BBI was about “Ruto Must Go”. They got very disappointed that nobody opposed the BBI report. Now Tinga has told us BBI to him is a Breaking Bridges Initiative. Absurdity.”
