Mutua shared a video clip of Raila’s grand entrance into the double birthday for the governor and Tanzanian singer Raymond Shaban, popularly known as Rayvanny.
Dressed in a white shirt, navy blue trousers and a black sleeveless jacket, Raila joined the guests on the dancefloor at Imara Ole Sereni Hotel dancing to Rayvanny’s Tetema hit song.
The birthday boys were dressed in white regalia with Mutua going the extra length to wear an outfit inspired by a navy captain’s uniform.
Lilian, on the other hand, lit up the red carpet in a figure-hugging above-Knee black dress that accentuated her curves.
Despite their recent announcement that they were parting ways, the newly separated couple remained cordial and had an animated chat – oblivious of the cameras and the guests who were clearly fascinated by their decency.
After the dance, the three (Raila, Mutua and Ng’ang’a) proceeded to a special sitting area where they were served refreshments awaiting the cake.
Shortly, two cakes arrived. The four took part in cutting the cake using a stainless silver sword. Ng’ang’a fed Mutua the first piece of the cake while Raila offered Rayvanny.
The subsequent piece was given to Raila by Mutua before he offered it to his former wife. The quartet then took to the dancefloor.
“I thank all my teachers, friends and family members including those who preached to me in the church. The most important thing is for us to live a good life, be happy and be good to each other.
“Life is about caring, sharing, lifting people up and keeping no grudges,” stated Mutua.
Ng’ang’a had earlier taken to Instagram to wish good life and better fortune for her former husband on Instagram noting, “To 51 and another 51…Happy Birthday.”
NTV Swahili Anchor Salim Swaleh and Raila’s aide Silas Jakakimba also attended the event.
