  • Radio Jambo show host Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee assured his followers that he was recuperating well and will soon be back on air after he was flown out of the country for specialised treatment in India.

He shared his health status on his social media pages on Friday night, April 23 and appreciated those that had reached out to wish him a speedy recovery. Ghost had taken a short leave from work.

“We thank God for a successful procedure. Well taken care of. Undugu ni kufaana si kufanana. (Brotherhood is all about mutual help and not resemblance),” Ghost said while sharing photos taken alongside another patient.

He, however, did not disclose whether he underwent surgery, what he was ailing from or the hospital he was admitted to.

Sources privy to the details alleged that one of the patients underwent an organ transplant.

“Quick recovery,” musician Suzanna Owiyo and comedian Daniel Ndambuki (Churchill) led in wishing Ghost well.

“Get well soon gaffer,” Harambee Stars striker Michael Olunga added.

On October 16, 2020, Ghost was rushed to the Aga Khan hospital after being involved in an accident along Waiyaki Way. He was, however, released a few hours later after being treated for minor accidents.

The football tactician hosts a morning show alongside former musician Gidi Ogidi (Gidi Gidi). The show is famous for the segment Patanisho (reunion) where conflicting couples and lovebirds are reunited.

He is also the head coach of Harambee Stars – the men’s national football team – a role he took up in October 2020 after the Football Kenya Federation parted ways with Francis Kimanzi.

Kimanzi, who previously coached Tusker FC, Mathare FC and Sofapaka was appointed the head coach of Wazito FC.
