According to King Kaka, the popular rapper, Razz Msupa, passed away on Tuesday, February 4 after a short illness.
Razz shot to fame with her verse on King Kaka’s 2013 chart-topper, Ligi Soo Remix.
After a hiatus during which she focused on raising her daughter, Razz returned to the music scene and made waves with her come-back single Spit Barz in 2018.
King Kaka was among figures in the entertainment industry who mourned Razz as he took to his social media pages to express his grief.
Kaka disclosed that he had spent time with Razz as recently as the night of Monday, February 3.
“I am now ready for 2021 too much going on this year, Just saw you jana night and prayed, it’s sad that you are gone.
“Razzmsupa Tuko Ligi Soo !!!! Safiri Salama (Razzmsupa we’re in the major leagues, go well),” he wrote.
Fans voiced their shock on social media as well, after learning of the talented rapper’s demise.
“Wah, so sad bana, I remember I used to sing along to her verse when this song (Ligi Soo remix) was a hit,” wrote MwasMyk.
“Razz was so talented…I hate that she went away,” shared a user by the name Mariamash.
“What? Razz is gone? Tell me it’s a mistake,” tweeted Kephacalfie in disbelief.
Razz emerged as part of a new crop of Kenyan female rappers such as herself, Petra and Femi One who went on to take the country’s music scene by storm.
