Among the many Kenyans sharing the photo on Twitter was former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale whose post, elicited hundreds of reactions from Kenyans.
In the photo, the ODM party leader is seen casting what netizens describe as a menacing look as President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto are bowed down in prayer.

The leaders had convened to pray for the country in the wake of Coronavirus pandemic.
Khwalwale’s post attracted a barrage of comments, most of which pointed out that it was quite petty to share such images at a time of crisis.
Many urged the leader to focus on trying to unite Kenyans as opposed to sharing images that could further fuel division.
During the prayers, President Uhuru urged Kenyans to turn to God and pray, arguing that as much as Science was key, prayers were also important.
“Mine is just to continue to ask you fellow Kenyans wherever you may be, let us continue to pray for our country. Let us continue to pray for peace, to pray for unity, to pray for healing, to pray for reconciliation and to pray for prosperity,” he stated.
He went on to remind Kenyans that when a nation trusts in God, it prospers.
Despite Raila and Ruto’s public disagreements, the two have recently been seen to have put their differences aside over the last few days, with a photo of the two sharing a light moment during a visit to Jubilee Party’s Secretary-General Raphael Tuju, going viral as well.
Other leaders who graced the occasion were Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka, ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi, Council of Governors Chairman Wycliffe Oparanya, Chief Justice David Maraga, and several cabinet secretaries.
