Taking to her social media pages, the MP revealed that she underwent a spinal surgery at the Care Institute of Medical Sciences (CIMS) Hospital in the country.
“It was not my desire to be operated on abroad but unfortunately I just couldn’t get a Kenyan team together”, she stated.
“I was not getting a clear answer on the type of treatment I needed to effectively deal with the excruciating and chronic pain and I just couldn’t wait any longer,” she added.
It is not the first time the Woman Rep has gone under the knife for seemingly the same condition.
On September 16, 2019, Passaris was admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, where she revealed that she had undergone a surgical procedure to address issues with her back pain.
She explained that her backaches dated 20 years back when she delivered her son.
“Admitted at the Aga Khan Hospital for a Medial Branch Block procedure plus Paraspinal L3 to S1 under the care of Dr Thikra Shariff and Mr Livingstone Olunya,” she divulged.
Earlier in January 2019, the legislator underwent a thyroidectomy at the Nairobi Hospital.
The surgery saw her lose both thyroid glands.
“I kept details of my thyroidectomy low key until I knew I was out of danger. I thank God for faith that reassured me that my work is not yet complete. I remain eager to learn and serve Him with humility,” she stated.
