The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) certified his election – clearing the way for him to assume office immediately.
Musinga replaces Justice William Ouko who was appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court on May 13.
Justice Ouko had earlier eyed the top job as the Chief Justice.
The court of appeal judge is elected by the judges of the court of appeal to serve for a five-year term. The Court of appeal comprises of 30 judges.
In January, Justice Daniel Musinga was elected as the chairman of the Judicial Committee on Elections(JCE).
Justice Daniel Musinga started his career in 1988,as an advocate of the high court. He has an experience of 33 years as a jurist.
