As political temperatures continued to flare up after the Jubilee Party entered into a post-election agreement with KANU, a lot of theories were being floated on the alliance’s impact on the 2022 polls.

Many leaders in the party have chimed in the developments with a looming fall-out in the party expected with DP William Ruto’s allies expressing their discontent with the move.

However, on Sunday, May 10, Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who is on the DP’s camp, had to issue a clarification after a report by K24TV on him speaking on ODM leader Raila Odinga‘s hand in the party changes.

“Raila has advised them to play havoc with Jubilee and ravage the ruling party, then he will leave them. A fake MoU has been signed with KANU to bring on board Gideon Moi as the Leader of the Majority. David Murathe cannot even win a cattle dip chair,” a tweet by a parody account stated.

The media house used the quote during the Sunday bulletin under a news item where President Uhuru summoned senators to State House, attributing the sentiments to Nyoro.

The Kiharu MP via his account revelaed that the statement was not true adding, “It is unfortunate for K24 to quote a Parody account and attribute the same to us. This account is crap run by charlatans.”

“Anyone taking anything posted here seriously cannot be serious. We are African and Africa is our Business,” he stated.

The section of MPs aligned to DP Ruto have on several occasions accused Raila of meddling in their party affairs.

On Thursday, Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria brought to light allegations that Jubilee Party, ODM and KANU under Gideon Moi had plans to merge.

Jubilee Party Secretary General Raphael Tuju on Sunday, May 10, confirmed to kenyagist.com that Jubilee Party had indeed entered into a post-election agreement with KANU. He disclosed that the deal would see KANU members sit in house committees and attend Jubilee Party meetings.

At the same time, President Uhuru Kenyatta summoned the senators for a meeting at State House for Monday, May 11. Tuju did not reveal the agenda of the meeting as it was the Head of State’s meeting.

Baringo Senator Gideon Moi is expected to attend the Jubilee Parliamentary Group Meeting where Tuju confirmed that the meeting was as result of a stalemate occasioned by the transfer of functions in Nairobi County.
