Speaking at Light Christian Church in Machakos, the senator made it clear that Kalonzo Musyoka did not represent the views of the Kamba community.
According to Citizen Digital, Muthama painted a picture of Kalonzo as a selfish man who was out to protect his own self-interests.
“Kalonzo’s offer of support to President Uhuru Kenyatta even after 2022 does not reflect the will of the Kamba people, those are his own personal sentiment, he noted in part.
“The Kamba community has over five million people and Kalonzo should be told that we can’t fit in someone’s house,” he added.
His latest sentiments came in the wake of Kalonzo’s recent remarks, in which he professed his undying support for Uhuru even beyond 2022.
“I have made a resolution that I and the Kamba community are not flip-flopping and where Uhuru will be even after 2022, we will be there,” Kalonzo stated.
Muthama went on to reveal that he would spearhead delegation whose purpose was to convince the relevant political decision-makers that the former Vice President did not carry the vote of his people.
He also announced that the chosen delegates would form part of a political outfit aimed a propelling the Kamba community to greater heights.
Back on December 15, 2019, the self-declared sponsor of Wiper party allegedly hinted at a possible political alliance between Deputy President William Ruto and Kalonzo.
However, Wiper leaders addressing the press in Machakos on December 26, 2019 led by Kitui Senator Enock Wambua and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, said that the Wiper leader had declared that his name would be on the ballot in the 2022 presidential election.
