Mike Sonko’s Shopping Episode Causes Debate [VIDEO]

The governor uploaded a video of him in a supermarket in the company of a few individuals as he stocked up lemons from the groceries section.

Sonko claimed that lemons would help him lose his tummy fat that he has been on a mission to reduce as he hits the gym almost every day.

A supermarket attendant placed a number of lemons in a basket with the Governor also asking about avocados but did not go-ahead to purchase the fruit.

A number of Kenyans questioned the governor for not wearing a mask while on his shopping errands as he breached the Covid-19 regulations.

Politicians have oftentimes come under fire for breaking Ministry of Health’s guidelines on Covid-19 mitigation with a number giving speeches in large gatherings.

The public also questioned Sonko on whether lemons could really aid in losing tummy fat loss as the governor had claimed in his post.

“Naona Corona is a scam mheshimiwa you [are] not wearing these masks ama hamkupata ka sisi huku mashinani pia anyway stay safe Nairobians,” read one of the comments.

Some of the hawk-eyed Kenyans also speculated that the governor was shopping at a supermarket located in Naivasha.

According to experts drinking lemon water cuts down on your calories, but if you want to reduce your weight faster, then you need to work out on a daily basis, meaning you must burn fat physically.

Doctors claim that lemon is very low on calories and you may end up burning about 200 calories on a daily basis.

The governor has bought gym equipment and has previously shared a video of him working out from the comfort of his home.
