The cash donation was channelled through Tombe Girls High School administration.

The CS proceeded to Riokindo Boys and Riokindo Girls High Schools, where he launched a water supply project for the two institutions.

Riokindo Boys High School had requested financial support to complete a modern dormitory complex and Matiangi undertook to mobilize resources for the project.

“Such facilities instil the love for science in learners and equip them with the necessary attitude and skills,†he stated.

In a message to local leaders, CS Matiang’i called for unity in order to deliver services to the residents.

Addressing the rejection of nominated Deputy Governor James Gesami, the CS urged senior members of the Nyamira County Assembly to reach a consensus with their junior colleagues.

The assembly’s committee on appointments pointed out that the nominee did not present a clearance certificate from the Higher Education Loans Board, the National Police Service, and a Credit Reference Bureau.

Majority Leader Callen Atuya, while reading the report, told the House that Gesami had fallen short of basic requisites for the post.

His supporters claimed that Gesami was not given ample time to present the required documents.
