In the press conference, Njenga called on President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga to work together in 2022.
He went on to thank Members of the County Assemblies (MCAs) in all the counties who had passed the BBI bill.
“We are going to clear all crocodiles on the way, and we welcome Baba in Mt Kenya. We will use this month to sensitize the masses on the BBI report,” stated Njenga stated.
A new team christened ‘Team One Nation,’ that was present at the event promised to commence sensitization campaigns especially in the Mt Kenya region – led by Njenga.
The group argued that issues pertinent to the younger generation as well as the common mwananchi have been given due consideration in the BBI document.
“To all the MCAs and the counties that have voted overwhelmingly in favour of this document, we want to say that we are grateful,” one of the members stated.
The Building Bridges Initiative National Secretariat, in a statement, urged the maining counties to also deliver a ‘yes’ verdict.
“This landslide victory is an indication of the popularity of BBI and is an indicator of the support the BBI Bill will enjoy at the referendum. The ringing endorsement of the BBI witnessed across the counties is an indication that the people of Kenya have spoken emphatically and in one voice.
“We wish to applaud them for listening to our principals, President, HE Uhuru Kenyatta and Former prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga and ignoring the lies and propaganda being peddled around the BBI process,” reads their statement.
