This raised questions as to the role played by the Suna East MP during the meeting.

Part of Uhuru’s delegation consisted of Kenya’s Principal Secretary to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Macharia Kamau, Cabinet Secretary of Kenya’s Ministry of Agriculture, Peter Munya,Ababu Namwamba and Attorney General Paul Kariuki.

A section of netizens were keen to point out the MP during the meeting.

“Is that Junet Mohamed seated to the president’s far right? “posed one user.

Junet Mohamed has been considered to be Raila’s confidant throughout his political career.

Standing side by side with the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) Party leader, the politician has always shown allegiance to Raila by defending him on numerous occasions against any opposition.

Ever since the handshake between President Uhuru and Raila, the two parties which had been at loggerheads began to mend fences.

Recently, he was on the forefront as the co-chair of the secretariat to the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

He along with his counterpart, Daniel Waweru presented millions of signatures to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
