It’s the end of yet another year. You know what that means – a reason to wind down and relax.

The NRG Wave 2019 edition is the definition of parte after parte with a five-day-long extravaganza. NRG Radio has enlisted the biggest name in Africa. Damini Ogulu better known as Burna Boy!

Burna Boy will be performing at Africa Giants Wave of the NRG Festival on 29th December.

Yes, you read that right. The African Giant is coming to Mombasa this December in what promises to be the biggest NRGWAVE ever seen on Kenyan Soil.

Burna Boy’s unique music style defies geographical boundaries and will forever resist description. His music is a fusion of Afrobeats, Dancehall, reggae and road rap.

Just like his videos, his live performances are usually upbeat and interactive. There is never a dull moment at a Burna Boy concert. Come prepared to dance till you drop.

Burna Boy will be performing at Mombasa Sports Club on 29th December for the African Giants Wave.

Kicking off the massive festivities will be the NRG Showdown on the 26th with acts like Willy Paul and Nandy taking the stage.

Representing at the festival at Kenyan heavyweights Khaligraph Jones, Nameless, Redsan and Ipetete hitmaker Masauti will are sure to set an unforgettable vibe at the festival.

On the roaster are Gengetone sensations Ethic and Sailors Gang.

Tanzanian superstars, Harmonize, Nandi and Navy Kenzo will also be making an appearance with their alluring Bongo vibe.

Headlining the festival is Jamaican musician Buju Banton during the NRG Wave NYE on the 31st in what will be his first time performing in Africa.

You can get your tickets at nrg.radio which will set you back Ksh1,000 to Ksh2,000 for regular tickets depending on the wave you feel the most.

The festival at the Coast is the perfect opportunity to get your crew together, pack some light clothes and hit the road.

Or maybe it’s finally time to give SGR a try. Whatever you do, get there.

Whether you want to see Burna Boy perform his earlier hits like “ On the Low” or watch him perform his more recent songs such as “ Anybody”. This is the place to be.
