EXCLUSIVE: Bonnie Musambi to Quit KBC For Own Radio Station

  • Media Personality, Bonnie Musambi, is set to quit the government-owned Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC) after 14 years of service.

    Speaking to kenyagist.com Musambi revealed that he is quitting KBC to fully launch his own Kamba Radio station christened Sang’u FM.

    ”I am planning to quit in 3 or 4 months to come so that I can establish my own Kamba station which will be Nairobi-based,” he said.

    Musambi revealed that his Wife, Betty Musambi, is in charge of running Sang’u FM which is currently operating on online platforms only.

    He further said that after resigning, he will join his wife and formerly run Sang’u FM fully as an established entity.

    Sang’u FM will be transmitted in frequency and will also be available on online platforms.

    The revered journalist hosts the morning radio show dubbed Zinga la Asubuhi alongside Cynthia Anyango and also reads prime-time news at KBC.

    The celebrated Journalist is eyeing to contest for the Kitui Central Parliamentary seat in the coming general elections.

    Musambi has never shied away from publicly showering his wife with praises, love, and gifts.

    On Tuesday, March 16, he publicly acknowledged that his job made him spend long hours away from his family and appreciated his wife for making sure that the kids are well taken care of.

    In October 2019, he bought his wife a Ksh18 million mansion in Kilimani, Nairobi, and also a Ksh 2.5 million Nissan X-Trail to celebrate her birthday.

    He further noted that he had not yet done the best for his wife of seven years compared to what she had done for him.

    The couple has been blessed with two children since tying the knot.
