Chris Kirubi Exposes Scammers Using His Name

Behind every billionaire’s fortune is a gruesome tale of perseverance and Chris Kirubi is known for sharing nuggets of wisdom regularly of his social media.

On March 3, 2020, the billionaire shared photos of a website he claimed had been running a scam dubbed ‘Bitcoin Profit’, using his name to solicit investments from unsuspecting Kenyans.

“It has come to my attention that a website has been using my name to solicit investments in a scheme dubbed, ‘Bitcoin Profit,” he shared.

Kirubi added that he was not associated with the organization and that the information it was peddling was misleading.
 
“I would like to inform the public that I am in no way associated with this organization and the information provided is misleading and deceptive,” he explained on his Twitter handle.

A website which had corrupted NTV‘s logo to MTV, had also claimed to have spoken to the industrialist.

Part of the falsified information on the website read “…I thought it wasn’t true when my older brother told me but after seeing with my own eyes, I am glad I tried it.” 

The rogue website had gone further in its fake special report to give details on how Kirubi had ventured into this latest investment and was reaping big.

He further explained that it was important for members of the public to be extremely cautious when making any investment plans.

“I would also like to remind members of the public to exercise extreme caution when making any investments,” he urged.

He clarified that he only offers business advice through his official verified social media handles and credible websites.

“While I often share investment tips and business advice, this information is shared from my verified social media handles and credible websites, he concluded.
