Speaking to the media, Silas Kimathi, one of the leaders of the boda boda association of Laikipia County warned the legislator and directed her to steer clear of the leaders.
“She should know that we are fully behind the national government. We kindly ask Waruguru to focus on improving the livelihoods of her constituents,” he remarked.
He further pointed out that in Eldana area, expectant mothers are forced to give birth while on their way to hospital due to lack health care facilities close by.

Kimathi urged Waruguru to turn to CS Kagwe and bring development projects to benefit the residents of Laikipia.
Her calls for the President to fire CS Kagwe and his interior ministry counterpart did not go down well with her county residents.
The boda boda riders all agreed that it was okay if the Woman Rep was eyeing a top seat in 2022, but that she should desist from castigating their leaders.
“Akae mbali na sisi kabisa kama ameamua kutafta cheo cha juu 2022 (let her stay away from us if she has decided to aim for a higher seat in 2022),” one of the riders stated.
Waruguru had indicated that the cabinet secretaries were busy politicking as opposed to working on development projects.
“We cannot allow someone who has been entrusted with the security of this country, to go round politicking. Kenyans registered for Huduma numbers last year, we have not seen responsibility or heard of the way forward,”
“These people are busybodies and President, they are lying to you. You need to come back and engage the people who put you in office,” she stated at a rally on September 4.
