As Deputy President, Rigathi Gachagua went to visit his only surviving aunt in Iganjo village in Nyeri county on, his branded hoodie and cap conspicuously stood out.
The second in command donned a grey hoodie and yellow cap branded ‘Riggy G’, his popularised nickname.
Rigathi who openly accepted the nickname coined by Ivy Chelimo, a content creator, received the specialised gift from a multimedia graduate and graphic designer Kevin Kagwe.
Kagwe, a professional videographer, and graphic designer stated he presented the gift to the DP on Friday, September 30.
“On Friday evening I visited the Deputy president H.E Rigathi Gachagua and I gifted him a hoodie and a cap both branded Riggy G,”
Today, 5 days later, the man himself ‘Riggy G’ stepped out looking sharp in my apparel. Words cannot explain how I feel, mbele noana success (I see a bright future),” the artist shared on Facebook.
The talented artist was elated after Rigathi seemingly appreciated his generous and thoughtful gift.
In his post, Kagwe thanked God for the grand opportunity to feature in the DP’s wardrobe. He took the chance to promote his work.
Notably, Gachagua had been on the receiving end over his dress code, an issue he promised to look into when he got into office.
He surprised Kenyans by donning classy sunglasses when he traveled to Kisumu county for the 94th Music Festival on Friday, September 23.
Kagwe who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Film Production and Animation from Multimedia University added that he was part of several branding projects during the campaign period.
He was also a Content Producer and Digital Marketer at Kymms Family Salon.
